The mometasone component works by suppressing the production of inflammatory mediators, thereby reducing the severity of symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling, and skin thickening. Momben Cream is applied topically to the affected area, typically two to three times a day, and may be used in conjunction with other topical medications or therapies as directed. Patients should be advised to use the medication in the shortest duration necessary and to reevaluate the need for treatment periodically.
As with all topical corticosteroids, Momben Cream is contraindicated in areas where the skin is at risk of thinning, such as the face, scalp, and skin creases.
