MK-Levo-LS Capsule SR is a controlled-release, fixed-dose combination product containing 75mg of levosulpiride, a dopamine receptor antagonist, and 20mg of rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor. This medication is indicated for the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and gastric ulcers in adults. Levosulpiride, the primary active ingredient, exhibits potent anti-emetic and anti-nausea properties, while rabeprazole provides effective acid suppression. The controlled-release technology ensures a sustained release of both components over a 24-hour period, providing consistent therapeutic effects. MK-Levo-LS Capsule SR is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to either component, or with a history of torsades de pointes or QT prolongation. Patients with severe hepatic impairment should be monitored closely for signs of increased risk. The most common adverse reactions include headache, dizziness, and abdominal pain. Concomitant use with other proton pump inhibitors or antacids may result in decreased efficacy.
