This solution for injection is a sterile, clear, colorless liquid that must be diluted with 0.9% sodium chloride or 5% dextrose solution before administration.

Mitobulin works by inhibiting the polymerization of actin filaments, which is a critical component of the cytoskeleton in cancer cells, thereby disrupting cell morphology and inducing apoptosis. The recommended dose is 2mg/m2 administered intravenously over 2-5 minutes every 21 days. Patients should be pre-medicated with dexamethasone, diphenhydramine, and ranitidine or omeprazole to minimize the risk of hypersensitivity reactions.
Mitobulin may cause serious side effects, including fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and myelosuppression, and patients should be monitored closely for these effects.
