Miol G 300 mg/500 mcg Tablet is a prescription medication composed of gabapentin (300mg) and methylcobalamin (500mcg) intended for the treatment of various neurological and musculoskeletal disorders. Gabapentin, an analogue of the neurotransmitter GABA, exerts its therapeutic effects by modulating the activity of voltage-gated calcium channels, thereby reducing the release of excitatory neurotransmitters. Methylcobalamin, the active form of vitamin B12, plays a crucial role in the synthesis of fatty acids, neurotransmitters, and other compounds essential for neuronal function and survival. The combination of these two agents has been shown to provide relief from symptoms associated with peripheral neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, and restless leg syndrome, as well as anxiety and insomnia. The recommended adult dose is one tablet three times a day, and the tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water.
