Medical applications
Miliom D 10mg/20mg Capsule is a gastroprotective and prokinetic agent, containing a combination of Domperidone 10mg and Omeprazole 20mg. Domperidone, a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, acts as a prokinetic agent, promoting gastric motility and reducing symptoms of delayed gastric emptying, nausea, and vomiting. Omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, inhibits the final common pathway of gastric acid secretion, thereby reducing the production of gastric acid and providing gastroprotective effects. This combination therapy is indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), dyspepsia, and functional dyspepsia, as well as for the prevention of recurrence of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) following anti-retroviral therapy in patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.
