Metaleev 500 Tablet contains Metadoxine 500 mg as its active ingredient, a pharmacological agent primarily indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic alcohol intoxication and its associated metabolic disturbances. Metadoxine facilitates the acceleration of ethanol metabolism by enhancing the activity of enzymes involved in alcohol degradation, thereby reducing blood alcohol levels more rapidly.

Additionally, it exerts hepatoprotective effects by promoting the regeneration of liver cells and improving hepatic function, making it beneficial in managing alcoholic liver disease. The drug also aids in correcting metabolic imbalances such as hypoglycemia and electrolyte disturbances commonly observed in alcohol intoxication. Metaleev 500 is administered orally and is generally well tolerated; common adverse effects may include mild gastrointestinal discomfort.
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Metadoxine or its excipients. Caution is advised when used concomitantly with other central nervous system depressants. Dosage and duration of therapy should be tailored to the individual patient’s clinical condition and response to treatment. Regular monitoring of liver function tests and metabolic parameters is recommended during prolonged use.
