Merelanz Tablet DT Mango contains Lansoprazole 15 mg, a proton pump inhibitor used to reduce gastric acid secretion in the treatment of various acid-related gastrointestinal conditions. Lansoprazole acts by selectively inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, thereby suppressing the final step of acid production. This medication is indicated for the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, duodenal and gastric ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and prevention of gastric ulcers associated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) use.
