Melarv Cream is a topical formulation combining Hydroquinone (2% w/w), Mometasone Furoate (0.1% w/w), and Tretinoin (0.025% w/w), designed for the treatment of hyperpigmentation disorders such as melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and other pigmentary abnormalities. Hydroquinone acts as a skin-lightening agent by inhibiting tyrosinase, thereby reducing melanin synthesis. Mometasone Furoate, a potent corticosteroid, provides anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects, helping to reduce erythema, edema, and pruritus associated with inflammatory dermatoses. Tretinoin, a retinoid, promotes epidermal cell turnover and enhances skin penetration of Hydroquinone, improving overall efficacy in pigment reduction. Melarv Cream should be applied topically to the affected area once daily, preferably at night, after cleansing. Patients are advised to avoid excessive sun exposure and use broad-spectrum sunscreen during treatment to prevent further pigmentation.
