ME-PR Capsule is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Methylcobalamin 750 mcg and Pregabalin 75 mg, indicated for the management of neuropathic pain and related neurological disorders. Methylcobalamin, an active form of vitamin B12, plays a crucial role in nerve regeneration and repair by promoting myelin sheath synthesis and enhancing neuronal function. Pregabalin, a gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) analogue, exerts its therapeutic effect by binding to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system, thereby reducing neurotransmitter release and alleviating neuropathic pain and seizures. The synergistic combination of these agents provides effective symptomatic relief in conditions such as diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, and peripheral neuropathies. ME-PR Capsule is generally well tolerated; however, common adverse effects may include dizziness, somnolence, and gastrointestinal disturbances.
