Maxgalin NT Tablet is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Pregabalin 75 mg and Nortriptyline 10 mg, indicated for the management of neuropathic pain and certain chronic pain conditions. Pregabalin, an anticonvulsant and analgesic agent, modulates calcium channels to reduce neurotransmitter release, thereby diminishing nerve excitability and pain transmission. Nortriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant, exerts analgesic effects by inhibiting the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin, enhancing descending inhibitory pain pathways. The synergistic action of these agents provides effective relief in neuropathic pain syndromes such as diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, and fibromyalgia. Maxgalin NT is also utilized as an adjunctive treatment in conditions where conventional analgesics are insufficient. The combination is generally well tolerated; however, common adverse effects may include dizziness, somnolence, dry mouth, and gastrointestinal disturbances. Caution is advised in patients with a history of cardiac disorders, glaucoma, or renal impairment.
