Maxgalin 50 Capsule contains Pregabalin 50mg, an anticonvulsant and neuropathic pain agent used primarily to manage neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, and spinal cord injury. It is also indicated as adjunctive therapy for partial-onset seizures in adults. Pregabalin acts by binding to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system, thereby modulating calcium influx and reducing the release of excitatory neurotransmitters such as glutamate, norepinephrine, and substance P.
