It is indicated for the topical treatment of various inflammatory and pruritic dermatoses, including eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and allergic reactions. Mometasone exerts its therapeutic effects by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators and suppressing the immune response, thereby reducing redness, swelling, and itching.

Mataret Cream should be applied in a thin layer to the affected area once daily or as directed by a healthcare professional. It is intended for external use only and should be avoided on broken or infected skin unless advised by a physician. Prolonged use or application over large surface areas may increase the risk of systemic absorption and potential corticosteroid-related side effects.
Common adverse reactions include local burning, irritation, dryness, or folliculitis, which are generally mild and transient. Caution is advised in pediatric patients, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and individuals with a history of hypersensitivity to corticosteroids. Discontinuation should be gradual to prevent rebound effects. Mataret Cream is contraindicated in viral, fungal, or bacterial skin infections unless appropriate antimicrobial therapy is concurrently administered.
