Mactor F Tablet is a combination medication containing Atorvastatin 10mg and Fenofibrate 160mg, indicated for the management of dyslipidemia and mixed hyperlipidemia. Atorvastatin, a selective HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, effectively lowers low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and total cholesterol by inhibiting cholesterol biosynthesis in the liver. Fenofibrate, a fibric acid derivative, primarily reduces triglyceride levels and increases high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα), which enhances lipolysis and elimination of triglyceride-rich particles.

The combination of these agents provides a comprehensive lipid-lowering effect, targeting multiple lipid fractions to reduce cardiovascular risk in patients with mixed dyslipidemia unresponsive to monotherapy. Mactor F is typically prescribed alongside lifestyle modifications such as diet, exercise, and weight control.
