Mabtas 500 Infusion contains Rituximab 500 mg, a chimeric monoclonal antibody targeting the CD20 antigen expressed on the surface of pre-B and mature B lymphocytes. It is indicated for the treatment of various B-cell malignancies, including non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and certain autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis. Rituximab mediates its therapeutic effect through complement-dependent cytotoxicity, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity, and induction of apoptosis, leading to depletion of CD20-positive B cells.

Mabtas 500 Infusion is administered intravenously under strict medical supervision, with dosing regimens tailored to the specific indication and patient response. Prior to infusion, premedication with antihistamines, acetaminophen, and corticosteroids is recommended to mitigate infusion-related reactions, which are the most common adverse events.
