Lynocold-AF Syrup is a combination medication containing Chlorpheniramine Maleate (2mg/5ml) and Phenylephrine (5mg/5ml), formulated for the symptomatic relief of allergic conditions and nasal congestion. Chlorpheniramine Maleate, an antihistamine, acts by competitively inhibiting histamine H1 receptors, thereby reducing allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, and itching. Phenylephrine, a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist, provides decongestant effects by inducing vasoconstriction in the nasal mucosa, leading to decreased swelling and improved nasal airflow. Lynocold-AF Syrup is indicated for the management of allergic rhinitis, common cold symptoms, sinusitis, and other upper respiratory tract allergies associated with nasal congestion.
