Lycor 1% Cream contains Hydrocortisone 1% w/w, a topical corticosteroid indicated for the relief of inflammation and pruritus associated with various dermatological conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, insect bites, and allergic reactions. Hydrocortisone exerts anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators and suppressing immune responses in the affected skin areas. Lycor 1% Cream is intended for external use only and should be applied in a thin layer to the affected area two to four times daily, depending on the severity of the condition and as directed by a healthcare professional. Prolonged use or application over large surface areas should be avoided to minimize the risk of systemic absorption and potential adverse effects such as skin atrophy, telangiectasia, or hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone or any component of the formulation, as well as in viral, fungal, or bacterial skin infections unless appropriate antimicrobial therapy is concurrently administered. Caution is advised when used in pediatric patients, pregnant or lactating women. Discontinue use if irritation or sensitization occurs, and consult a healthcare provider for persistent or worsening symptoms.
