Lumycan Cream contains Luliconazole 1% w/w, a topical antifungal agent indicated for the treatment of superficial fungal infections of the skin, including dermatophytosis, candidiasis, and pityriasis versicolor. Luliconazole belongs to the azole class of antifungals and exerts its effect by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. Lumycan Cream is effective against a broad spectrum of dermatophytes such as Trichophyton rubrum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes, as well as Candida species. The cream is intended for external use and should be applied once daily to the affected area and surrounding skin after cleansing and drying, typically for a duration of 2 to 4 weeks depending on the infection type and clinical response. It is generally well tolerated, with minimal adverse effects; however, mild local reactions such as burning, itching, or erythema may occur. Lumycan Cream is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to luliconazole or any of the cream’s excipients. Patients are advised to avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Proper adherence to the prescribed regimen is essential to ensure complete eradication of the fungal infection and to prevent recurrence.
