Luliconazole belongs to the azole class of antifungals and exhibits broad-spectrum activity against dermatophytes, yeasts, and other pathogenic fungi by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption compromises cell membrane integrity, leading to fungal cell death. Luliplus Cream is primarily used for conditions such as tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and tinea pedis. The formulation is intended for topical application, allowing targeted therapy with minimal systemic absorption, thereby reducing the risk of systemic side effects. It is generally well tolerated; however, mild local adverse reactions such as burning, itching, or redness at the application site may occur. The cream should be applied once daily to the affected area and surrounding skin for the duration prescribed by a healthcare professional, typically ranging from one to two weeks depending on the severity and type of infection.
