Lukotas 10mg Tablet contains Montelukast 10mg, a leukotriene receptor antagonist used primarily in the management and prevention of asthma and allergic rhinitis. Montelukast acts by selectively blocking leukotriene D4 receptors in the airway, thereby reducing bronchoconstriction, inflammation, and mucus production associated with asthma and allergic responses. Lukotas is indicated for the prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma in adults and pediatric patients aged 15 years and older, as well as for the relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis.

It is also used to prevent exercise-induced bronchoconstriction.
