Ludep Cream contains Luliconazole 1% w/w, an imidazole antifungal agent indicated for the topical treatment of superficial fungal infections of the skin, including dermatophytosis, candidiasis, and pityriasis versicolor. Luliconazole exerts its antifungal effect by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. Ludep Cream is effective against a broad spectrum of dermatophytes such as Trichophyton rubrum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes, as well as Candida species and Malassezia furfur. The cream formulation allows for targeted application to affected areas, promoting rapid symptom relief and resolution of infection. Ludep Cream is typically applied once daily to the cleansed and dried affected skin for a duration of 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the severity and type of infection. It is well tolerated with minimal adverse effects, which may include mild local irritation or burning sensation at the application site. Ludep Cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to luliconazole or any of the cream’s excipients. Use during pregnancy and lactation should be under medical supervision. Proper adherence to treatment duration is essential to prevent recurrence and resistance.
