Lucoz XL Cream contains Luliconazole 1% w/v, an imidazole antifungal agent effective against a broad spectrum of dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds. It is primarily indicated for the topical treatment of superficial fungal infections such as tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis, and pityriasis versicolor. Luliconazole exerts its antifungal action by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death.

Lucoz XL Cream is applied once daily to the affected area and surrounding skin, ensuring complete coverage and absorption. It is generally well tolerated, with minimal adverse effects; however, mild local reactions such as burning, itching, or redness may occasionally occur. The cream should be used for the full prescribed duration, even if symptoms improve earlier, to prevent recurrence and ensure eradication of the infection.
Lucoz XL Cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to luliconazole or any of the cream’s excipients. Caution is advised when applying to large areas or broken skin. This formulation provides a convenient and effective option for managing superficial fungal infections with a favorable safety profile.
