Lucee Cream contains Luliconazole 1% w/w, an imidazole antifungal agent indicated for the topical treatment of superficial fungal infections of the skin, including dermatophytosis, candidiasis, and pityriasis versicolor. Luliconazole exerts its antifungal activity by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, leading to increased membrane permeability and ultimately fungal cell death. Lucee Cream is effective against a broad spectrum of dermatophytes such as Trichophyton rubrum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes, as well as Candida species and Malassezia furfur. It is typically applied once daily to the affected area and surrounding skin for a duration prescribed by a healthcare professional, generally ranging from one to two weeks depending on the infection type and severity. The cream formulation allows for good skin penetration and patient compliance. Common adverse reactions are mild and may include local irritation, burning sensation, or erythema at the application site. Lucee Cream should be used with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to luliconazole or any of the cream’s excipients. It is intended for external use only and should not be applied to mucous membranes, eyes, or broken skin.
