Lozivate-F Cream is a topical formulation combining Clobetasol propionate 0.05% w/w, a potent corticosteroid, and Fusidic Acid 2% w/w, a bacteriostatic antibiotic. This combination is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory dermatoses complicated by secondary bacterial infections. Clobetasol exerts strong anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects by modulating the release of inflammatory mediators and suppressing immune responses, thereby reducing redness, swelling, and itching.

Fusidic Acid targets Gram-positive bacteria, particularly Staphylococcus aureus, by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, effectively controlling infection and preventing bacterial colonization. Lozivate-F Cream is primarily used in conditions such as infected eczema, psoriasis with secondary infection, and other inflammatory skin disorders complicated by bacterial involvement.
The cream should be applied in a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare professional, avoiding prolonged use to minimize potential adverse effects such as skin atrophy, telangiectasia, or systemic corticosteroid absorption. It is contraindicated in viral, fungal, or tubercular skin infections and in patients with hypersensitivity to any component.
