Levocetirizine, a third-generation non-sedating antihistamine, selectively inhibits peripheral H1 receptors, thereby reducing symptoms like sneezing, nasal congestion, itching, and rhinorrhea.

Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, blocks cysteinyl leukotriene receptors, which play a key role in the inflammatory process associated with asthma and allergic rhinitis. The synergistic action of these two agents provides comprehensive relief from both immediate hypersensitivity symptoms and the underlying inflammatory response. Lorfast MT is particularly useful in patients who require both antihistaminic and anti-inflammatory effects for optimal symptom control.
It is generally well tolerated, with a low incidence of adverse effects such as headache, fatigue, or gastrointestinal discomfort.
