Hydroquinone acts as a depigmenting agent by inhibiting tyrosinase, thereby reducing melanin synthesis and facilitating skin lightening. Mometasone, a potent corticosteroid, provides anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects that help reduce erythema, swelling, and irritation associated with pigmentary conditions.
