Hydroquinone acts as a depigmenting agent by inhibiting tyrosinase, thereby reducing melanin synthesis and promoting gradual lightening of hyperpigmented areas. Mometasone, a potent corticosteroid, provides anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects, helping to reduce erythema, edema, and irritation associated with pigmentary conditions. Tretinoin, a retinoid derivative, facilitates epidermal cell turnover and enhances the penetration of hydroquinone, contributing to the normalization of keratinization and improvement in skin texture.
