Liponorm F Tablet is a combination lipid-lowering medication containing Atorvastatin 10 mg and Fenofibrate 160 mg, formulated to manage dyslipidemia and reduce cardiovascular risk in patients with mixed hyperlipidemia. Atorvastatin, a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, effectively lowers low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), total cholesterol, and triglycerides while modestly increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). Fenofibrate, a fibric acid derivative, primarily reduces triglyceride levels and elevates HDL-C by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα), enhancing lipolysis and elimination of triglyceride-rich particles. The synergistic action of these agents provides comprehensive lipid control, particularly beneficial in patients with elevated triglycerides and LDL-C refractory to monotherapy.
