Liplor 20 Tablet contains Rosuvastatin 20mg, a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor used to manage hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. By selectively inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, Rosuvastatin effectively reduces the synthesis of cholesterol in the liver, leading to decreased levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), total cholesterol, and triglycerides, while modestly increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). Liplor 20 is indicated for primary hyperlipidemia, familial hypercholesterolemia, and for the prevention of cardiovascular disease in high-risk patients. It is often prescribed alongside lifestyle modifications such as diet, exercise, and weight control to optimize lipid management. The tablet should be administered once daily, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day to maintain consistent plasma levels.
