Lipirose-AS 10 Capsule is a combination medication containing Rosuvastatin 10 mg and Aspirin 75 mg, formulated for the management of cardiovascular risk factors. Rosuvastatin, a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, effectively lowers low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and triglycerides while modestly increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), thereby reducing the risk of atherosclerosis and related cardiovascular events.

Aspirin, an antiplatelet agent, irreversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1), leading to decreased thromboxane A2 production and inhibition of platelet aggregation, which helps prevent thrombus formation. Lipirose-AS 10 is indicated for primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases, including myocardial infarction, stroke, and transient ischemic attacks, especially in patients with dyslipidemia and increased thrombotic risk.
The combination therapy offers synergistic benefits by addressing both lipid abnormalities and platelet aggregation, enhancing overall cardiovascular protection. It is recommended to be taken orally once daily, preferably at the same time each day. Patients should be monitored for potential side effects such as myopathy, gastrointestinal disturbances, bleeding tendencies, and hypersensitivity reactions.
Caution is advised in patients with hepatic or renal impairment, and concomitant use with other anticoagulants or statins requires medical supervision.
