Lopicure-TG Tablet is a combination lipid-lowering agent containing Atorvastatin 10mg and Fenofibrate 160mg, indicated for the management of mixed dyslipidemia and hypertriglyceridemia. Atorvastatin, a selective HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, effectively reduces low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and total cholesterol by inhibiting the rate-limiting step in cholesterol biosynthesis. Fenofibrate, a fibric acid derivative, primarily lowers triglyceride levels and increases high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα), which enhances lipolysis and elimination of triglyceride-rich particles. The combined action of these agents provides a comprehensive approach to lipid abnormalities, particularly in patients who do not achieve target lipid levels with monotherapy. Lopicure-TG is indicated for patients with mixed dyslipidemia characterized by elevated LDL-C and triglycerides, and for those at high risk of cardiovascular events due to persistent hypertriglyceridemia.
