Liator-Asp Capsule is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Atorvastatin 10 mg and Aspirin 75 mg, indicated for the management of cardiovascular risk in patients with hyperlipidemia and a history of or risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Atorvastatin, a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, effectively lowers low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and total cholesterol by inhibiting the rate-limiting step in cholesterol biosynthesis, thereby reducing the progression of atherosclerosis. Aspirin, an antiplatelet agent, irreversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1), leading to decreased thromboxane A2 production and subsequent inhibition of platelet aggregation, which helps prevent thrombotic events such as myocardial infarction and stroke. The combination of these agents provides a synergistic effect in reducing cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in high-risk patients. Liator-Asp Capsule should be administered once daily, preferably at the same time each day, with or without food.
