Lezyncet D Tablet is a combination medication containing Levocetirizine 2.5 mg and Phenylephrine 10 mg, indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis and nasal congestion. Levocetirizine, a third-generation non-sedating antihistamine, selectively inhibits peripheral H1 receptors, thereby reducing allergic symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, and itching. Phenylephrine, a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist, acts as a decongestant by constricting nasal blood vessels, leading to decreased nasal mucosal edema and improved airflow. This synergistic formulation provides effective symptomatic relief from nasal congestion, sneezing, and watery eyes commonly associated with seasonal allergies and common cold. Lezyncet D is generally well-tolerated; however, caution is advised in patients with hypertension, cardiovascular disorders, or hyperthyroidism due to the vasoconstrictive effects of phenylephrine.
