Levozet M Tablet is a combination medication containing Levocetirizine 5 mg and Montelukast 10 mg, formulated to provide effective relief from allergic conditions. Levocetirizine, a third-generation non-sedating antihistamine, selectively inhibits peripheral H1 histamine receptors, thereby reducing symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal congestion, and pruritus associated with allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria. Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, blocks the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor CysLT1, mitigating inflammation and bronchoconstriction commonly seen in asthma and allergic rhinitis. The combination of these two agents offers a dual mechanism of action, addressing both histamine-mediated and leukotriene-mediated pathways, resulting in improved symptom control and enhanced patient compliance.
