Levotiz-M Tablet is a combination medication containing Levocetirizine 5mg and Montelukast 10mg, indicated for the management of allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria. Levocetirizine, a third-generation non-sedating antihistamine, selectively inhibits peripheral H1 receptors, thereby reducing symptoms like sneezing, nasal congestion, itching, and rhinorrhea. Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, blocks leukotriene D4 at the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor, contributing to decreased bronchoconstriction, inflammation, and mucus production. The synergistic action of these agents provides effective relief from both nasal and respiratory allergic manifestations. Levotiz-M is particularly beneficial in patients with concomitant allergic rhinitis and asthma, improving overall symptom control and quality of life. The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, preferably in the evening, with or without food.
