Levocetirizine, a third-generation non-sedating antihistamine, selectively inhibits peripheral H1 receptors, thereby reducing symptoms like sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal itching, and urticaria. Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, blocks leukotriene D4 at the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor, mitigating bronchoconstriction and inflammation associated with asthma and allergic rhinitis. The synergistic effect of these agents provides comprehensive relief from allergic symptoms by targeting multiple inflammatory pathways.
