Levoberg 5 Tablet contains Levocetirizine 5mg, a third-generation non-sedative antihistamine used primarily for the treatment of allergic conditions. Levocetirizine is the active enantiomer of cetirizine and exhibits selective antagonism of peripheral H1 histamine receptors, thereby inhibiting the effects of histamine released during allergic reactions. This medication is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, nasal congestion, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes, as well as for the management of chronic idiopathic urticaria characterized by itching and hives. Levoberg 5 Tablet offers rapid onset of action and sustained efficacy over a 24-hour period, allowing for once-daily dosing. It is generally well tolerated, with a low incidence of sedation and minimal anticholinergic side effects. Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, and dosage adjustments may be necessary.
