Levo-M Tablet is a combination medication containing Levocetirizine 5mg and Montelukast 10mg, indicated for the management of allergic rhinitis and chronic asthma. Levocetirizine, a third-generation non-sedating antihistamine, selectively inhibits peripheral H1 receptors, thereby reducing symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal itching, and urticaria associated with allergic conditions. Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, blocks the action of cysteinyl leukotrienes, which are inflammatory mediators involved in bronchoconstriction, mucus production, and airway edema. The synergistic effect of these agents provides comprehensive relief by addressing both histamine-mediated and leukotriene-mediated pathways.
