Lansoprazole acts by selectively inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, thereby suppressing gastric acid secretion. Lesozap JR 15mg is primarily prescribed for the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, duodenal and gastric ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection in combination with appropriate antibiotics.
