It is indicated for the treatment of partial onset seizures, primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures, and seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome in adults and pediatric patients.

Additionally, Leptomate 25 is prescribed for the prophylaxis of migraine in adults. The tablet should be taken orally, with or without food, as directed by a healthcare professional. Dosage adjustments may be necessary based on therapeutic response and tolerability. Common adverse effects include dizziness, fatigue, paresthesia, cognitive disturbances, and weight loss. Patients should be monitored for metabolic acidosis, kidney stones, and ocular symptoms such as acute myopia or secondary angle-closure glaucoma.
Caution is advised in patients with a history of kidney disease or metabolic acidosis. Leptomate 25 should not be abruptly discontinued to avoid increased seizure frequency. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Topiramate or any of its excipients. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their physician before use due to potential risks.
