Legaf-DSR Capsule is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Domperidone 30 mg and Rabeprazole 20 mg, indicated for the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid peptic disorders, and related gastrointestinal conditions. Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, enhances gastrointestinal motility and accelerates gastric emptying, thereby alleviating symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating. Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, resulting in prolonged reduction of gastric acidity. The synergistic action of these two agents provides effective relief from heartburn, acid regurgitation, and epigastric discomfort, while promoting mucosal healing in erosive esophagitis. Legaf-DSR is generally well tolerated; however, it should be used with caution in patients with hepatic impairment or known hypersensitivity to either component. Common adverse effects may include headache, dry mouth, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. It is contraindicated in patients with prolactinoma or gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Clinical monitoring is advised during prolonged therapy.
