Lcm Suspension is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Levocetirizine dihydrochloride 2.5 mg and Montelukast sodium 4 mg per 5 ml of oral suspension. Levocetirizine, a third-generation non-sedating antihistamine, selectively antagonizes peripheral H1 histamine receptors, thereby alleviating symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis, urticaria, and other histamine-mediated conditions.

Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, inhibits the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor CysLT1, reducing inflammation, bronchoconstriction, and mucus production in the airways. The combined action of Levocetirizine and Montelukast in Lcm Suspension provides effective relief from allergic symptoms such as nasal congestion, sneezing, itching, rhinorrhea, and bronchial hyperresponsiveness, making it suitable for the management of allergic rhinitis and mild to moderate asthma in pediatric patients.
The suspension form ensures ease of administration and accurate dosing in children. Lcm Suspension should be used under medical supervision, with dosage adjusted according to age and clinical response. It is generally well-tolerated; however, potential side effects include headache, dry mouth, gastrointestinal disturbances, and rare neuropsychiatric events.
