Lamino 8% Infusion is a sterile, non-pyrogenic intravenous solution containing 8% w/v amino acids, formulated to provide essential and non-essential amino acids for parenteral nutrition. It is indicated for patients requiring nutritional supplementation when oral or enteral feeding is inadequate or contraindicated, such as in cases of malnutrition, postoperative recovery, severe trauma, burns, or chronic illnesses impairing nutrient absorption.

The balanced amino acid composition supports protein synthesis, tissue repair, and maintenance of nitrogen balance. Lamino 8% Infusion is administered under strict medical supervision, with dosage tailored according to the patient’s clinical condition, nutritional requirements, and metabolic status. It should be used as part of a comprehensive parenteral nutrition regimen, often in combination with glucose and lipid emulsions to meet total caloric needs.
Caution is advised in patients with hepatic or renal impairment, metabolic disorders, or amino acid metabolism abnormalities. Monitoring of biochemical parameters, including electrolytes, liver and kidney function, and nitrogen balance, is essential during therapy. The infusion must be prepared and administered using aseptic techniques to prevent contamination and infection. Lamino 8% Infusion is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of its components.
