The gel’s prolonged retention time on the corneal and conjunctival surfaces enhances ocular hydration and promotes epithelial healing. It is suitable for use in patients experiencing mild to moderate dry eye symptoms and can be administered multiple times daily as needed. Lacrimist Gel is preservative-free, minimizing the risk of ocular surface toxicity and irritation, making it appropriate for long-term use, including in contact lens wearers when lenses are removed prior to application.
