Lacrigel is suitable for use in patients experiencing discomfort from environmental factors such as wind, dust, or prolonged screen time. The formulation is preservative-free, minimizing the risk of ocular surface toxicity and making it appropriate for frequent or long-term use. Administration involves instilling one or two drops into the affected eye(s) as needed, with frequency adjusted according to symptom severity.
Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose enhances tear film stability, promoting corneal epithelial healing and improving visual comfort. Lacrigel Ocular Lubricant is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation. How to use Lacrigel Ophthalmic Solution This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.
