Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, facilitates gastric motility by enhancing the movement of stomach contents into the intestines, thereby alleviating symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating. Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, promoting healing of acid-related mucosal damage and providing symptomatic relief in conditions like gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. The sustained-release (SR) formulation ensures prolonged therapeutic plasma levels, enhancing efficacy and improving patient compliance through reduced dosing frequency. Kwaloz D Capsule SR is indicated for the treatment of acid peptic disorders accompanied by delayed gastric emptying, including GERD with associated dyspepsia and gastroparesis.
