Korum Tablet contains Deflazacort 6 mg, a corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. It is primarily indicated for the management of various inflammatory and autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, polymyositis, and allergic disorders. Deflazacort exerts its therapeutic effect by modulating the immune response and inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators, thereby reducing tissue inflammation and immune system activity.

Korum Tablet is also utilized in the treatment of certain hematologic disorders, respiratory diseases, and as adjunctive therapy in specific endocrine conditions. The medication should be administered under strict medical supervision, with dosage individualized based on the severity of the condition and patient response. Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances, increased susceptibility to infections, hyperglycemia, and potential adrenal suppression with prolonged use.
Monitoring of blood pressure, blood glucose, and signs of infection is recommended during therapy. Abrupt discontinuation should be avoided to prevent withdrawal symptoms and adrenal insufficiency. Korum Tablet is contraindicated in patients with systemic fungal infections and those with known hypersensitivity to Deflazacort or any component of the formulation. Caution is advised in patients with diabetes, hypertension, osteoporosis, and peptic ulcer disease.

How to use Korum Tablet Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Korum Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Avoid Korum Tablet with salad and vegetable diet.
