Kofarest-DX Linctus is a combination antitussive and antihistaminic syrup formulated to provide symptomatic relief from cough and allergic conditions associated with upper respiratory tract infections. Each 5 ml of the syrup contains Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2 mg, an H1 histamine receptor antagonist that alleviates allergic symptoms such as rhinorrhea, sneezing, and nasal congestion by blocking the effects of histamine.

Additionally, it contains Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide 10 mg, a centrally acting cough suppressant that acts on the medullary cough center to reduce the frequency and intensity of non-productive cough. Kofarest-DX Linctus is indicated for the management of dry cough and allergic manifestations including hay fever, allergic rhinitis, and other upper respiratory allergies. The combination provides dual action by addressing both cough reflex and allergic symptoms, improving patient comfort.
It is generally well tolerated; however, caution is advised in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to either component, glaucoma, or respiratory depression. The syrup should be used as directed by a healthcare professional, and it is contraindicated in children under two years of age. Adverse effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, and gastrointestinal disturbances.
