Kod-MD Tablet is indicated for adults and pediatric patients for the management of acute and delayed nausea and vomiting induced by cancer treatments and surgical procedures. The recommended dosage varies depending on the clinical scenario and patient age, with administration typically occurring prior to the emetogenic stimulus. Kod-MD is well tolerated, with common adverse effects including headache, constipation, and dizziness.
It should be used with caution in patients with hepatic impairment and those with a history of cardiac arrhythmias, as ondansetron may prolong the QT interval. Kod-MD Tablet is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ondansetron or any of its excipients. Careful assessment of drug interactions is advised, particularly with agents that affect cardiac conduction or cytochrome P450 enzymes.
