It is indicated for the topical treatment of superficial fungal infections such as athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), jock itch (tinea cruris), ringworm (tinea corporis), and candidiasis of the skin. Clotrimazole acts by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. Klo-Aid Dusting Powder is formulated to provide a convenient and hygienic application, reducing moisture and friction in affected areas, which aids in symptom relief and promotes healing. The powder base helps absorb excess moisture, creating an unfavorable environment for fungal growth. It is intended for external use only and should be applied to clean, dry skin twice daily or as directed by a healthcare professional. Use should be continued for at least 2 weeks or as prescribed, even if symptoms improve, to prevent recurrence. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If irritation or hypersensitivity occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician. Klo-Aid Dusting Powder is not recommended for use on open wounds or severe infections requiring systemic therapy.
