Kiyaros 10 Tablet contains Rosuvastatin 10 mg, a potent lipid-lowering agent belonging to the statin class of medications. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia to reduce elevated total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein B, and triglycerides, while increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). Rosuvastatin acts by selectively inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol biosynthesis, leading to decreased cholesterol production in the liver and increased clearance of LDL from the bloodstream. Kiyaros 10 is prescribed as part of a comprehensive management plan including diet, exercise, and lifestyle modifications to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as myocardial infarction, stroke, and angina in patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease or those at high risk.
